A dependable fleece jacket/sweater is an essential staple for your closet whether you live in Florida or Colorado. A fleece jacket is designed for cooler weather, but it can come in handy as an under layer, or even something you can lounge in at home.

We recently made a second trip to Colorado for vacation in December, and while I have dozens of fleece jackets, like I am sure many of you do, I was looking for something better that I would not have to wear ten layers under.

Kuhl Flight Jacket

The Kuhl Flight Jacket is made up of 100% premium, mid-weight fleece. It is two-toned and has thumb loops for a cozier feel. The jacket also has a stowaway hood that zips into the collar when you’re not in need of a hood! The Italian fleece is so soft you will want to sleep in it. This is a good choice of jacket whether you’re hitting the trails or running errands.

What I would Change:

  • The stowaway hood can be a bit bulky when you don’t have the hood out. This is only honestly a small issue if you’re like me and feel Closter phobic when something is too close to your neck. The pockets are a little strange because they zip upwards, but they look cool and are very functional once you get used to them.

Fit and Feel:

  • I wear an XS and the fit is perfect both in the sleeves and length. I even have enough room to wear a sweater and layers under if necessary. It definitely fits true to size.

Pockets:

  • As mentioned, prior there are four pockets on this jacket, which is a wonderful addition, but the opening of the pockets upwards takes some getting used to. They are large but honestly so useful, especially when it feels like 1 degree out and your hands are cold.

Hood Fit:

  • The hood is ergonomic and fits nicely when removed from the collar where it’s hidden; it covers your head well without being too large. It is the same soft material as the rest of the jacket and can zip back up into the collar which also provides a lot of warmth.

Honestly, I have gotten so many compliments on this jacket it’s crazy. It is always mentioned how beautiful the stone color is and how warm and cozy it looks. I have to tell you; it does not disappoint. I worn this jacket every single day on our trip to Vail for walks, snow activities, and to lounge around the house because it is so incredibly well made. It is so warm; I have worn it consistently over the last couple of weeks and could not recommend a better fleece jacket.

If you have this jacket or have any questions, please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

P.S. I am most definitely wearing this jacket while I post this.
