The Need to Know About the Invisalign Journey

0

Hey you guys! I am sorry for leaving you all hanging for so long. Do you ever have those moments when you feel un-inspired? I just felt like I was in a slump recently, but I have some exciting things coming up that I want to share with you.

If I am being 100% honest and transparent, I do not have straight teeth whatsoever. I struggled with my wisdom teeth up until my surgery of June 2018 last year. My bottom teeth are completely crowded and the top are spaced out with a few of them being pushed up and rotated out of place.

I hate smiling, and that is why a lot of my pictures are of me closed mouthed. I am sure a lot of you can relate to feeling insecure about yourself because of your smile. Especially because it is one of the first things that people notice.

Once my four wisdom teeth came out, I knew I was ready for the second part of my journey, Invisalign.

The Invisalign Consultation

Although it feels like a month has gone by, I just had an appointment with my Orthodontist a week ago on the 10th. I vigorously researched the best Invisalign orthodontist in Dallas. Luckily, I was able to get a same week appoint with a VIP, platinum, Invisalign doctor at Walnut Central Orthodontics!

Not only do they work with my dentist who has an office down the street, they are so highly rated, I knew I could trust them. Surprisingly enough, when researching them, I found a Groupon which they offer often, that was for $30 and included $1500 off a full treatment of Invisalign/Braces. Being as expensive as Invisalign can be, I knew I couldn’t pass this up.

My dental fears melted away when I walked through the doors of Walnut Central Orthodontics. The staff was friendly, chipper, and they got me back to a private room in under ten minutes. Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed.

The Treatment Plan

My treatment coordinator, Suzie is the absolute sweetest. She was thorough in her explanation of Invisalign and was very informative.

Instead of doing the old impressions of my teeth, the office used the Itero 3D scan and it was literally quick and painless. It was somewhat uncomfortable when trying to get an impression of my back teeth because my mouth is so small, but it was awesome.

Once the impressions were done, Dr. Kanabar came in to discuss options. She is the sweetest doctor I have met. We were able to view what my teeth looked like currently, and what they would look like after my Invisalign journey was done. I was in complete shock. I had no idea that I suffered from a pretty severe overbite or that my teeth needed so much work! We decided on 18-24 months of treatment with rubber bands aiding in the movement of my jaw and teeth.

If you are in Dallas, I highly recommend Walnut Orthodontics,

I signed up that day, and am anxiously awaiting 3-4 weeks for my trays to come in. I am nervous about starting this whole process, but I know it will be worth it in the end, and cannot wait to share my journey with you.

Let me know your Invisalign journey and if you have any questions, concerns, tips, or if you are and Invisalign companion!

XOXO Kristina
